Warriors 2026: Why This Season Meant So Much | ShedLife NZ Sport Weekly Wrap

The Warriors season is over, but this one is bigger than just the final result. Jason Davis and Quentin Hill look back on the 2026 NZ Warriors season, the atmosphere at Eden Park, the players who stood out and why following the Warriors means so much more than wins and losses. Jason was there for the final and reflects on a season full of packed crowds, family, mates, Warriors fans and some massive moments.

We give plenty of love to the players who have given Warriors fans so much to enjoy. And yes, we are already saying it. It’s our year in 2027. We also get into another big weekend across New Zealand sport.

One of the big themes this week is keeping sport in perspective. We all get passionate. We all want our teams to win. But the players are the ones putting their bodies on the line, doing the work and carrying the pressure. Win or lose, there is plenty to appreciate about the people who make sport what it is.

ShedLife NZ Sport Weekly Wrap is Jason Davis and Quentin Hill talking about the week that was across New Zealand sport, with plenty of Warriors, rugby, NPC, Heartland and local Waikato sport along the way. New episodes drop Monday nights at 6:30pm NZT as part of ShedLife NZ with Jason & Mates.
