Warriors Win a Thriller + All Blacks Fall Short | ShedLife NZ Sport Weekly Wrap

The Warriors finish the regular season with a massive one-point win, and Jason Davis and Quentin Hill are back in the ShedLife NZ Studio to wrap another big week across New Zealand sport.

The Warriors got it done against Manly in a tight one, closing it out with a late drop goal and building plenty of confidence heading into the finals. Jason is well and truly on the bandwagon, the old Warriors jersey is back out of the cupboard, and attention now turns to the Dolphins and what could be a huge finals run.

We also get into the All Blacks after another tough battle with South Africa. There were plenty of positives, some big individual moments and a game that again came down to the little things. The boys look at where the All Blacks are building, what needs tightening up and why there is still plenty to like.

Then it is into the NPC. Waikato went down to a clinical Canterbury side, Manawatū produced a big second-half comeback, Tasman kept rolling, Counties got another win and the next round brings a massive opportunity for Waikato with a Ranfurly Shield challenge against Northland. The NPC picks are back as well, with Jason and Quentin going head-to-head across the next round.

We also cover the Heartland Championship, including King Country’s strong run, Thames Valley, Horowhenua Kapiti, Ngāti Porou East Coast and another full round of picks. Closer to home, Jason gets into the Hauraki district rugby league competition, the Hauraki Warriors’ first home game, school tournament week, hockey, netball and some of the local people doing good things around Waikato sport.

Quentin also brings in a bit of athletics from the Diamond League, with New Zealand athletes competing on the international stage. Plenty of rugby, league, local sport, picks and good yarns this week.
